Theme of the Week: “Mis Sentimientos /My Feelings”

 Dear Parents,

Last week our Abejitas had a lot of fun learning about our senses, especially tasting different flavors and touching different textures. As always we will be working on our fine and gross motor and language skills. As you know, this is a very important part of your child’s development. Our theme of the week is "Mis Sentimientos/My Feelings.” We have planned activities where the children will be able to express their feelings.  Mom and dad could help at home by sitting facing your baby and making sound associated with happiness or sadness while telling them  “estas feliz/you’re happy” or if they are crying, you can say “estas triste/you’re sad.” We are so happy because they’re doing a great job every day; they enjoy the activities so much!

Student of the week:

Congratulations to Mason Boshart, he is our student of the week! We are very happy to learn more about Mason and his family.

Friendly Reminders:

           ·           We are still missing some family pictures; please don’t forget to bring your own next week. We are working on our Family Area and we need your help to complete it.

           ·           Please take the time to come and sign out our student of the week sheet.

           ·           Remember how important these activities are for our babies and we hope to have all our little ones enjoying and participating on this activity. Gracias!

Important Upcoming Dates:

 October 16th: We are going to Phillips Farms in Cary. Permission slips will be sent home starting next week. Make sure to return them and let us know if your child is participating of this activity or staying at Sff! so we can plan accordingly. This is an activity for all classrooms.

October 23^rd: Parent’s Night out from 6 – 9pm. Please check our Friday news for prices and more information. This parent’s night out is a fundraising for our upcoming Holiday Party in December. Thanks for your support!

October 30th: Afternoon Costume Parade and Trunk and Treat. Donations for healthy snacks and treats for children (appropriate for their age) are welcome.  Sign-up sheets will be posted outside of each class. You will receive more information soon regarding this activity. Parent participation is encourage.
