Week of October 12th-16th

Abejitas Class
Miss Elsa and Miss Guadalupe
Week of October 12th – October 16th
Theme of the Week: “Nos Ponemos Activos / Being active"

Dear Parents,
Being active helps our children learn and reach important milestones. This week we are going to be learning about "Nos ponemos Activos/Being Active" and talking about the best things that we can do to keep our bodies strong and healthy, like exercising and playing every day. Mom and dad could help at home by playing music and dancing with your baby and by being active as part of healthy growth and development.

Song of the Week:
Nos Ponemos Activos
mueve mueve mueve bien los pies
mueve mueve mueve la cabeza ya
mueve mueve mueve las rodillas bien
ponte siempre activo vamos a jugar(2)

Y corre corre corre corre
Y salta salta salta salta
Gira gira gira gira sin parar(2)

Manos arriba
Piernas cruzadas
Gira tu cuerpo
Ven a jugar

Poema/Poem:
Vamos a jugar

Student of the week
Congratulations to Silas Main and Mason Boshart, for their excellent participation in our activity “Student of the Week.” It was an awesome moment!
Congratulations!
Friendly Reminders:
·         We are still missing some family pictures; please don’t forget to bring your own next week. We are working on our Family Area and we need your help to complete it.

·         Please sign-up on our student of the week sheet. Remember how important these activities are for our babies and we hope to have all our little ones enjoying and participating on this activity. Gracias!
Important Upcoming Dates:
October 16th: First Field Trip
Save the date and join us on this amazing first field trip to Phillips Farm of Cary. We will meet at the farm at 9:00 am and depart at 11:30 am. Your child’s permission slip was sent to you, please fill it out and send it back. The deadline will be Monday, October 12th. Thank you!
October 23rd: Parent’s Night out from 6 – 9pm. $25 per child. This parent’s night out is a fundraising for our upcoming Holiday Party in December. Thanks for your support!
October 30th: A special holiday for our kids is coming! Sff! will be hosting a costume party. On this day we will celebrate creativity and imagination. All children are encouraged to bring their costume to dress up. The activity will start at 3:30pm. We will start dressing children as soon as we can. Please help our classroom and provide healthy snacks and treats to share with the other children. You can give them to our class prior to the activity. The treats must be nut free. Please avoid hard candy or any items that are choking hazards. The treats the children collect will be in their cubbies until is time to go home so that you can decide what your child may eat.
Some examples of treats include: baby food, crackers, baby cereal, socks, bibs, rattles, and others that you consider appropriate for the age of our children.
Volunteers who signed for this activity in the volunteer sheet at the beginning of the school year may help us by decorating their trunks and helping us distribute the treats to our children. You should arrive around 3:00 pm. Please confirm with us, so we have a count of how many volunteers we will have.
We want for everybody to have a safe and fun Costume Day!
We thank you in advance for your support!
