Theme
of the week: “Celebrating Independence Day”
Dear Abejitas Parents,
We
hope you have a great week. Our Abejitas enjoyed last week’s activities, our
pretend bonfire, the picnic, and camping day! It has been a wonderful summer
camp at Sff!
Our
theme for this week is: “Celebrando el dia de la Independencia” / “Celebrating
Independence Day”. We have planned many activities to celebrate this day,
including: crazy hair day, a parade, and pretend fireworks. We know that our
Abejitas will love this!
Please
don’t forget to read our “Activities” section so that our Abejitas don’t miss
anything! Mom and Dad could help at
home by reading with them about this theme and show them
pictures associated with Independence Day.
Special
activities of the week:
Monday
June 29th -
We will have fun creating our hat to celebrate our Independence Day.
Tuesday
July 30th - We
will have a delicious picnic. Please bring your child's favorite fruit on that
day.
Wednesday
July 1st - Will be Crazy hair Day! Use your imagination and
give your child a Crazy hair style that will stand out from the rest!
Thursday
July 2nd - We will celebrate our Independence Day! Please send
your child with clothes in reference to the Independence Day (red, white, and blue).
Sff! will have
“The Parade of Independence” during which the whole
school will meet to hear the National Anthem. We will also have other music and
pretend fireworks.
Friendly
reminders:
Friday July 3th - Sff! will be closed for Independence Day.
Recyclable Materials
Needed This Week:
Part
of our mission at summer camp is to work with recyclable materials. This week
we will be collecting recycled small plastic bottles and small boxes of cookies
for our activities.
Please bring in as much as you can. Be on the lookout next week for what
we will be recycling!

splash day will begin on the first week of July. We will announce the Abejitas
