Week of July 6th-10th

Abejitas Class
Ms. Elsa & Ms. Maria Guadalupe
Theme of the week: “The Aquatic World”

Hola Abejitas Parents,
It is a pleasure for us to teach our little ones in a very fun way! For this reason, it is very important to read our “Activities” section so that our Abejitas don’t miss anything! The fun continues this week with a new topic: “The Aquatic World”. Our children will learn about the sea and the animals that live there. They will also have fun with water games, singalongs, and story-telling. At home, Mom and Dad can help by sharing photographs of trips to the beach or water parks and talking about that experience.

Special activities of the week:
Monday July 6th - We will have fun playing with sea-animal toys. If you have any at home, please feel free to bring them in.
Wednesday July 8th – We will have “Sea Themed Yoga” Our children will imitate the movements of some sea animals.
Thursday July 9th - We will observe sea animals in the hall.
Friday 10th – We will have a “Party under the Sea” We invite our children to come to school dressed for the occasion. Some examples of appropriate costumes include: mermaid, sailor, pirate, or a sea animal.

Birthdays/Cumpleaños
We want to wish a happy Birthday to Adrian Sneed(July 8th) and  Memphis Shellenberger (July 10th).

Recyclable Materials Needed This Week:
Part of our mission at summer camp is to work with recyclable materials. This week we will be collecting big boxes for our activities. Please bring in as many as you can. Be on the lookout for what we will be recycling next week!

Splash Days!
We are very excited for our SPLASH DAYS and we know our children are too! Our splash days, starting next week, are Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoon. On Monday, July 6th in the morning, make sure to bring your child wearing their swim suit, and please apply sun screen. On Wednesdays in the afternoon, we will dress them.

Please make sure you bring the following items with your child to the first day of summer camp:

·                   Extra summer clothes
·                   Diapers and splash diapers
·                   Wipes
·                   Hat
·                   Cream sunscreen, no spray (with authorization form)
·                   Swim suit (only on splash days starting the first week of July)
·                   Small towel
·                   Insect repellent (optional- with authorization form)
·                   Swimming shoes

Also, please make sure your sunscreen comes with a form filled out and signed by you, indicating amount to be applied, areas to be protected, areas to be avoided, and specific times it is to be used.

AEROSOLS will NOT be accepted. Gracias!

Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported us in the activities, plays, parties, and celebrations. Without you, it would not have become a reality.

Have a nice weekend!
