Week of August 31st- September 4th

Abejitas Class
Miss Elsa and Miss Guadalupe
Week of August 31st- September 4th
Theme of the Week: "My Body" / “ Mi Cuerpo”

Dear Abejitas Parents,
Each day in our class is more special than the last. The trust and security that our Abejitas manifest fills us with satisfaction. Our great and wonderful time together will be more special every day, thereby achieving our properly planned goals for each of our beautiful Abejitas. We are very proud of them as they have done an excellent job in such a short time. This week we will learn an important new theme; “My Body/Mi Cuerpo” which will allow each child to know themselves better. During this week we will be focusing mainly on the parts of the face. Mom and dad could help at home by doing the following:
*The little ones could play in the mirror while talking to the baby about what they see in their beautiful face.
*For older babies you can use photographs of your child to point out the parts of their face.
Song of the week:
“CANCION PARTES DEL CUERPO” / “Song Body Parts”
Las partes de mi cuerpo hoy yo voy a cantar,
Bailando con mis amigos,
cada parte moverás
Empiezo con mis bracitos
con los que puedo abrazar
con mucho amor a Papito
y luego a mi Mamá
moviendo la cabeza yo digo si o no
moviendo mi colita bailando yo estoy
ya todos preparados pues vamos aprender
las partes del cuerpo que tu vas a mover.
Piernas y cabeza
Pies, brazos cuello y cadera
Hombros, manos y rodillas
Pies brazos y piernas (X2)

Rhyme/ Rima
Dos ojitos para mirar
Dos orejitas para escuchar
Una naricita para oler
Y una boquita que les gusta comer.

Fingerplays/ Juegos Dactilares
Saco mi manito
La hago bailar
La cierro la abro
La vuelvo a guardar
Saco otra manito
La hago bailar
La cierro la abro
la vuelvo a guardar

Poem/ Poesia
Mi carita redondita
Tiene ojos y nariz
Y también una boquita
Para hablar y sonreir

Con los ojos Veo todo
Con la nariz hago achiiis
Y con la boca yo como
Palomitas de maíz.
