Abejitas parents,

Art has traditionally been an important part of early childhood programs. We believed that young children should be involved in both making their own art and enjoying the art of other people and cultures.  Art activities are very important, not only because they allowed us (teachers and parents) to recognize children with unusual abilities, but also because they encouraged each child's full and all-sided development.

Because the development of the whole child is our goal, this week we will continue exposing our babies to the art, stimulating their senses by looking, touching and listening to music and art. During "paint time" our babies will be able to learn how to hold the crayons and markers and they will enjoy coloring and making their first drawings.
