Our goal during the next three weeks is to allow our Abejitas and their families to enjoy the culture, typical customs, dishes, and music from each one of our teacher’s countries! It will be a wonderful week for all of us to enjoy. In our class, our little ones will enjoy dancing and singing the song “El Tao tao” during rehearsals for our International Party. It’s very important to confirm your child's participation as soon as possible.

Song of the week:
Our dance is a Mexican song called “El tao tao” his letter reads as follows:

Vente morenita bailemos el tao tao
El nuevo ritmo que a causado sensación
Hay vente morenita bailemos el tao tao
El nuevo ritmo que a causado sensación.

Se baila así de medio lado, acurrucado
El tao tao, el tao tao de medio lado
El tao tao, el tao tao, el tao tao acurrucado
El tao tao, el tao tao, el tao tao
El tao tao de medio lado el tao tao. (Biss)

“Como funcionan las cosas/ How things work”

Hola Abejitas Parents!
The month of January was full of fun for our children as they learned about methods of transportation! As always, the fun continues with a new topic: “Como funcionan las cosas/How Things Work.”

Our goal this coming week is to teach our little ones about “How Things Work.” We will do many of fun projects, like: play “on and off” light with flashlights, pretend to talk by phone, observe toy animals that can float on water, create sounds with different types of paper. Also, as always, we will be working on our fine and gross motor skills. As you know, this is a very important part of your child’s development.

Mom and dad can help at home by continuing to read small stories and demonstrating new concepts that you consider important, to increase your child’s curiosity and learning capability. Please help by showing them pictures or images about our theme. In our class, our little ones will enjoy singing the song “Como funcionan las cosas.”  This song talks about how things work.

Parents, please encourage your child to listen to this song at home too. It can be found on our Sff! CD.

Song of the week:
Cómo funcionan las cosas
En el auto de papá
Nos iremos a pasear
La bocina tocará la canción del tititi
Vamos de paseo
Titititi

Rhyme/Rima:
Ring ring suena el teléfono
Tica tac suena el reloj
Chu chu suena el trencito.
Muchos sonidos escucho yo.

Saco mis deditos los hago bailar
